4od Catchup Catches up.

header-catch-up 4od has finally caught up with the BBC and added a streaming service to its catch-up website. I love the online option to watch programmes again but have never really taken to the downloadable content / filesharing applications that you can install for both services. In the school environment I don’t allow the bbc iplayer of 4od to be installed as I don’t want to be sharing programmes through our bandwidth.

The online streaming opens up a whole new way of watching TV, great at home, instantly available for lessons or work usage and much more useful when working in an environment with multiple computers and classrooms.

Only downside I can see… it now gives people the ability to catch up on Big Brother…

Right, am off to try and block particular programmes.

Mmmmm Biscuits

After a visit to the Paddlefest up at Nottingham a few weeks ago, a couple more trips to Desperate Measures and abusing my bank account I have now taken delivery of a new Liquid Logic Biscuit 55.

I don’t profess to be a playboater nor am I going to become a playboat star overnight but I thought I would treat myself. My previous boat, a LL Bigwheel (for sale here) was a little too small for my long legs resulting in 30 minutes of play to every 30 minutes of stretching my legs and feet out again, although it was easy to throw about on the river and in the pool.

With all best intentions I didnt quite meet my planned minimum of 1 post a week prior to christmas, in fact september quickly became a busy October, November was in there somewhere and before I knew it the turkey was being carved.

Anyway, in keeping with resolutions tradition my aim is for at least a meaningful post per week if not more when things come to mind.
